NEWS from 2005

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from 5 Damascus Road!!! We want to thank the great people at Calvary Chapel Rialto for the great time we had last night. It is always great to feel welcome at a new place and having wonderful people to appreciate God's message through music. The food was great and we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully, we will get to return soon to share some more great music!
We are going to take a little break for the Holidays and prepare for our upcoming trips to the studio to work on our debut album. We are very excited about this project and welcome all your prayers that it goes well. 2005 was a great year for 5DR and we are praying that 2006 is even better!!!

Before we sign off, we want to take a moment to thank our families for their support and sacrifices to allow us to make 5DR possible. Without them and without God, we are nothing.

God Bless you all!! and see you in 2006!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Over the last month, we have been fortunate enough to play both for the St. Paul and Sacred Heart Festivals. First off, it was a blast playing at our home parish for their festival. They had great music all weekend long and we followed a great band, RISE. We want to thank Bill Carroll and his crew for running sound. It was awesome as always!! Last weekend, 5DR went on the road to Rancho Cucamonga to play for the Sacred Heart Festival. We had a great and responsive crowd. It was great to see people I haven't seen a while and seeing the crowd sing along. It makes doing this worthwhile.

Now, as we go into November, we will continue to work on some new songs and get back to the studio to work on our debut CD. We have 7 songs ready to go and should have 3 or 4 more ready to go for the CD. We have a Christmas party to play at in December as we prepare for the holidays ourselves. Its hard to believe but this group, Mike, Paul, Steve, Chris and I have only been playing together for 9 months!!! We have come a long way and are looking forward to the challenges and blessings that God has in store for us.

God Bless you all as we continue..... On the Road!

The Band played for the St. Paul Men's Fellowship again this past Friday night. We got a great response from people even though we played a short time. Chris stepped in for Mike on guitar for a couple of songs since he is still injured. Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers as he recovers from his injury.

We are now preparing for the St. Paul and Sacred Heart festivals that are coming up in October. We have also been asked to play at Hurricane Katrina benefit concert in early November so we will keep you up to date on that as we get more information. 5DR also plans to play a few coffee houses as we polish up our new songs to get record. YES!! We do want to go back into the studio and actually record a full length CD or at least 10 of our original songs. With God's blessing and all your prayers, our mission to spread God's word through music is working its magic. BTW, this group of 5 is now 8 months old!!! It is amazing what you can do when God blesses you with good fortune.

Anyway, God Bless you all and we hope to see you again soon..... On the Road!

Greetings from 5DR! As we enter the Labor Day weekend, we look back at a relaxing August. We all took some time to vacation with our families and "recharge" our batteries. Mike, unfortunately, injured his ribs and back so we ask for your prayers as he heals.
With the bad or at least not so good, comes the blessings. We have met some great new people and new opportunities for this group to help spread the word through music may be coming our way. Keep us all in your prayers as we shall keep you in ours!!!

5DR played out in Redlands with Sal Solo last month. It was a fun gig and lot of people to listen to God's message through music. We are working, as always, on new originals and some great new songs from other awesome Artists. Between now and then, we will be taking a little break for vacations with our families as well as a quick "recharge" but we will be geared up for our upcoming gigs in September and October.
We are really looking forward to playing at the St. Paul Harvest Festival which for some of us is home. Another great group, "RISE" will also be playing as well as Trinity, the great Young Adult choir from St. Paul. It will be a complete Christian Praise and Worship Sunday that will make for a great family day!!! We hope to see you all there and elsewhere..... on the road
